Audencia among finalists for PRME Faculty Recognition Award 2022

In 2022, Audencia applied for the PRME Faculty Recognition Award for Excellence in SDG Integration, which recognizes faculty achievements in integrating the SDGs into business school activities. As an example of impactful work on the SDGs, Audencia presented the 24-hour MBA sustainability seminar 'Sustainable Business: From Challenge to Opportunity.'

The seminar takes place over a week and each day the course focuses on a different theme: People, Planet, Prosperity and Transformations. The seminar uses different teaching styles to bring in different perspectives: seminars with experts on topics such as migration and modern slavery, discussions, films and SDG-related short films from the international festival Cinema for Change to explore grand challenges.

The seminar aims to provide space for students to explore, question and relate to these issues on a personal level. It takes a reflective approach and includes a thirty minute writing "diary" moment each day. The goal of the seminar is to put the human experience at the heart of business and management.

The seminar kicked off the MBA journey, allowing students to keep the big challenges in mind for the rest of their coursework. They were particularly positive about the zine, a magazine-style call to action that allows students to be creative and express their hopes and concerns about serious issues without causing too much anxiety.

The course was recognized internally by being featured in our CSR report, being a finalist for the Innovation Forum Award, and receiving positive feedback from our students. By participating in this event, Audencia shared this course with our PRME colleagues and inspired them with alternative styles of teaching the SDGs.
